Once a home is foreclosured on and the home has been sold via a foreclosure sale, the new owner may begin the eviction process. You will receive a legal notice to leave the premises with 72 hours and if you fail to leave the premises, the new owner will bring the case before court. If the court then orders an eviction, they will then issue a date to move out. The new owner will give you 48 yours from the court ordered date to vacant the premises and a sheriff can then physically remove you and place any items in the home into storage.
Some bank managers may even offer a specified amount (sometimes may be $1000) to leave the property without damaging the property.
