Maryland Foreclosure Assistance

In the first quarter of 2008, Maryland became among the top 10 states in the U.S. with the highest number of foreclosure filings and it is estimated that there will be over 25,000 foreclosure events by the end of the year.
Maryland is looking for help from attorneys to enable families and individuals a chance to prevent foreclosure when feasible and minimize losses. These are how lawyers can help:

2) Brief Advice and Counsel – Provide free brief advice and counsel to homeowners at foreclosure solutions workshops for the public.
3) Of Counsel – Serve as pro bono counsel to non-profit housing counseling agencies working with homeowners
