Contact Your Lender

Contact your lender immediately if you are having trouble making your monthly mortgage payments.  Many mortgage servicers will understand that individuals or families have trouble making payments due to job loss, medical illness or other big life changing events.  Make sure to contact your mortgage servicer to explain your situation.

How to find out who your mortgage servicer is?

• Check your monthly billing statement or payment coupon
• Look in the phone book or online

Once you have the phone number, contact your servicer and speak with the loss mitigation department.
